I absolutely agree. It shuld on whatever platform you use. I contacted them
about their windows client and it took quite some time before I got a
response. Another optin is a portable reader, if you have one, such as the
Humanware stream or the book sense. There is also the NLS talking book
digital player if you are signed up with the library for the blind, and thse
are free. Not sure where you are writing from, but that may only be an
option in the u.s, I really don't know. I still believe that the learning
ally application should be accessible everwhere they have it, but just
wanted to offer other options since in your case these things are time
sensitive for classes.

Oh it works, how ever I feel more keeping my zipped books on my hard drive
and not on my phone. They are faster to move via iTunes as i have a
relitavilly slow connection. and sometimes I don't want to read the book
on my phone. it's easier to read the book on my computer and take notes
that way.
This problem should seriously be looked in to as what if you do not have
an IOS device and only a mac running ML or older. I'm really hoping they
address this issue now if I contact them about it. the last time I tried I
had to wait over 4 months for them to respond. They don't seem to get it
that the app is not voice over friendly.
Take care and good luck.

This may come to late to help this morning, but have you tried the
learning ally iOS app. Recently, it became a free app, dropping from its
original price tag of $19.99 I have used it myself, and it was working
fine that last time I had the need to use it.

Well it's happened again. learning ally was working under lion, well
sort of, but this time it hardly and barely works under ML.Here is a
file I did. it's also a screen recording but that is not uploaded yet.

I really don't know why they have not fixed it as of april of this year.
I've been telling them now since then and they just tell me to say good
things to them. Well not when I can't even view my book shelf or switch
players, or even try and grab the player for mac. They must fix this if
I am to be a happy college textbook reading person.
Good luck all. and if someone could please give me some tips to go
through this I'll be a happy camper especially since I have a chapter
due in about 3 hours. lol!
