This can be done via a couple of third party Mac Apps which can be
bought from the Mac App store.
1. Mac2phone.
2. iKeyboard.
I prefer the latter as it allows you to fully control an iOS device. It
literally emulates a bluetooth hardware keyboard. The former I believe
only allows you to type the text which can then be copied or pasted or
directly send as an SMS.

What are you trying to accomplish. To my knowledge you cannot pair a mac
with an ios device. I could be wrong as my knowledge of blue tooth is still
