However, you could buy a GPS device that pairs to it via Bluetooth, such as the DualNav XGPS150A, that you could wear on an armband. These list for under $100, and there are a few different models that people have used. Dual Electronics is the only vendor that I'm aware of that has published a fairly extensive list of some of the GPS apps that have been tested to work with it's devices. If you're moving, even slowly, the GPS sensor can tell your direction. Here's a specific answer for your question (about using it as a pedometer): "Track your speed, distance and record your route with apps for running and cycling. BikeMateGPS, iMapMyRIDE, RunKeeper Pro" RunKeeper Pro is an app that I know some have used as a pedometer. If you want an FM radio, you could check one of the current model iPod Nanos. There used to be a built-in pedometer feature in the iPod Nano 6th generation, and I've read this is also in the 7th generation. This would also have an FM radio, but not the suite of iOS apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
