Find below info on a really enjoyable Access Wizard podcast episode. I'm very glad to here it's not just me that find such things frustrating and wonder why simple steps can't be taken to improve things for the better.
I'm really enjoying all the Access Wizard episodes actually but this one really clicked. Perhaps if enough of us are concerted, rational and articulate enough, things may improve in the future. Fingers crossed. :-) Danny: As mentioned in the last episode we’re revisiting OSX accessibility. We’re joined by jamieTeh of NV Access (a truly professional accessibility hero and tuff like dat and da whole big ting). It is not just about VoiceOver this time. Its about efficient user interfaces. Some very basic concepts such as: • Keyboard access • Keyboard shortcuts Followed by a bit of good old VoiceOver stuff like: • Verbosity As always listen to find out more. Sincerely, Yours truly PS Speaking of efficiency and keyboard access and tuff like dat you might want to check out this old article by Apple. It hasn’t been updated in a while. In fact implementation of full keyboard access hasn’t been updated in a while. Moreover the so-called full keyboard access gives no access to sidebars and contextual menus. **hint: [email protected] is awaiting your positive and professional feedback.
