Hi all

OK, anybody interested in doing DJ work etc. with their Macs, you might like to
read this. I have been working for some time on the quiet with a developer of
a product for Mac, in order to implement better VoiceOver support into their
previously inaccessible product. Fortunately, I don't give up strait away when
I find something that I think is worth following up when it isn't accessible.
The developers have been very willing to work with me in order to implement and
then enhance accessibility into their software. We are currently at the stage
where we have a lot of keyboard shortcuts, but the primary interface is still
not yet accessible. So what I'm saying is that you can sort of use the
software relying on keyboard shortcuts, but it isn't always easy to know what
is happening.

The reason I am so interested and keen to get this working right is that it
offers far more functionality than the DJ4 package does. There are two
versions, standard and pro. The pro version supports full automation,
including scheduling, playlist creation and other tasks not found in any other
accessible Mac package. The standard version will work fine in studio mode,
although it does not support playlist scheduling, artist and track title
separation rules, and so on.

I will keep the group updated as things progress but I thought I would mention
this now so that anybody contemplating doing serious DJ work on the Mac can
know that things are finally happening. I cannot give you specifics regarding
the package info just yet, but I promise I'll do that just as soon as I
possibly can, which hopefully won't be too long now.
