every once in a while, I find I have to disconnect the trackpad in the WiFi
extras menu, then reconnect. Other than that, it's great.

that's strange as I've had mine since getting my mac and absolutely find
it invaluable, especially for using Safari. I definitely wouldn't advise
people to stay away from it. What sorts of specific problems are you
having with it? I have been just using regular batteries in mine, for
example and haven't had trouble with them running out that often. Once
the track pad was paired with the mac, it stayed paired, even after quite
a while. The only time I have trouble with connections is when the
batteries are low on charge, and even then the computer tells me the track
pad needs batteries..
