Yes, you can using 2 free apps set the VO keys to be accessed via the caps lock keys. Things to note how ever, a plus, you can use vo or caps lock. minus, you lose the caps lock key for "Caps Lock" by doing this. I think, think meaning I'm not 100% sure, you can change 1 setting back in system preferences/keyboard and get your caps lock back at the price of it nnot working as VO but I won't put money on this as I've never even wanted to try. There is no double tap caps lock to bypass VO like you can double tap the caps lock in JFW and get caps lock again. It's an all or nothing.
Also, Several instructions and even the podcast end up leading you to the older version of 1 app and if you get the wrong app version, if your lucky you get a more limited functionality and if unlucky, it doesn't work. I have the apps so am happy to send them via email or what ever to help you avoid making the mistake I made. <grin> Just let me know. Do a google search for changing voiceover keys to caps lock or anything like that or go to http://applevis.com to find both the podcast and text post on the procedure. Make sure it's the latest one. The developer brought out a new version with better functionality that was also easier to set up. With this in mind, the software is free but as the developer gave of his time to help VO users out, any donations would be good carma. <smile> Danny: On 13/01/2013, at 7:37 PM, Josh Gregory <[email protected]> wrote: > Hey, does the keyboard commander apply for holding the mouse down and up on > objects?
