Hi Sarah We are behind, very behind, on mail at the moment unfortunately. Does GB permit the process of double-tracking with pitch changes? For instance, if you have a vocal track and want to double-track it with a pitch of a third of an octave, (known in musical terms as "a Third") up, can this be done using VoiceOver? For a project I have in mind amongst a million other things I need to do, I would like to submit a report to my future employers regarding using the Mac as a visually impaired person for various activities including audio production. The Visually Impaired department currently has to battle with a very well-known PC utility and a very well-known PC screen-reader. We are aware that things can be done that way so please, don't anybody start talking about that on here. What I am interested in is a full report on the way in which a VoiceOver user can interact with GarageBand to achieve the same, if not better, results than they would get, with the same or less time re quirements, as they would using more traditional methods.
Audio processing isn't actually the only subject on which I would like to start submitting reports. The most common applications include office applications. Therefore, it would be really nice to be able to include a full and in-depth discussion regarding office work on the Mac using VoiceOver. Many of us, including myself, use Pages as a word processor. For the most part, this approach works well. But as others have highlighted numerous times on list, you frequently need to exchange and collaborate with colleagues who haven't yet seen the light, and who use other platforms including Microsoft's office solutions. I can only really speak from experience using Pages, as I don't really have any requirement fore spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations, yet! I can't provide any examples as I trashed all of it. lol! but this is a very easy utility to use and you can get very precise if you are mixing call letters. and shouts and stuff. You can even nudge voice tracks you created some ware else in to the right place. Good luck. <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to [email protected] You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/>.
