1. the command for opening a message is the enter key, for me anyways. You can also do vo space on it i think, and if not cmd O.
2. to sort by date descending do the following. A. Go to the headers part with vo shift back slash. B. go to the date column. C. hit the button and it should say sort down. D. exit with vo shift back slash. Good luck.
