Hi, I brefere the Macboo, Pro, because some hardware can be replaced without problems. For example I've replaced the hard disk by a flash drive from Samsung, which was much cheeper then the flash drive Apple puts into the Macbook. With an Air no manual hardware replacement is possible.
But both devicees are nice, no question :-).
