I'd be real curious if anyone's had any success as a blind person with
running ProTools on an Air. I suppose technically speaking, it could be
done... but I! personally probably wouldn't advise it.

Ok. Now I'm very confused. I guess I'll have to go to the apple sture
next time my mac is broken and check out an air. I'm thinking in a few
years when this thing dies completely that I might get an air but I need a
lot of hoarse power lol! I like the lightness though as I carry about 5 to
10 pounds of stuff a day that might put less strain on my back.
Take care.

So then, how do you determine if that key is eject or power? My friend
has the new I7 air 11 inch, and I can tell you beyond a doubt that the
key on her's to the right of F12 definitely is power. Or at least, when
the system wasn't booted, and I hit it, the system did indeed turn on.
I was just under the impression that you had to rely on the Command+E
shortcud to eject things.

Oh wow really? Hmm. my friend has the new pro and the eject button is
still the 1 to the right of the f12 key. So what just hit the power
button on the mac book air and the cd will eject? if you have an
external cd drive?

The eject button is the power button on the new models. I just timed

either of my macs though unless I'm practically on top of them since
they're so quiet.

Hi all
For about a week or so now I have been using the new MacBook Air
computer which Lynne bought for me when we paid our first visit to
our local Apple store. The machine itself is pure gold! It's
light, easy to use and has the most fantastic keyboard action I've
ever seen on a MacBook of any kind.
Its backlit keyboard makes it easy to use for Lynne, and I just
love the touch sensitive multi-trackpad. I have the 13-inch 256GB
model and one of the best features of this thing is the lack of a
clunky old hard drive. Apple has gone over to using flash media
instead of a hard drive in its portable models and the change alone
is well worth the upgrade. From power-on, the machine takes about
8 seconds to being up and ready to use with VO. It's a breeze, I
cannot speak highly enough of this machine.
Kind regards
