Hi all,

First let me apologize if this particular topic has been addressed. I am unable
to use my Mac to search the archives at the moment, and while I can't claim
I've tried on my phone, I'll admit it doesn't seem like it would be overly easy
on the phone, which is all I have access to right now.

If you'd rather just reference previously discussed topics assuming my problem
is similar, that's fine with me. I'm happy to read an archive if one is found.

Now to the problem:

I am running 6.1.3 on an iPhone 4. All apps are up-to-date, and I have not been
having trouble with anything else lately.

I am using goodreads to update my book list and to read ratings given by others
for books etc. I had gotten very behind on my goodreads messages, and when I
launched the app, the home tab would indicate that I had 57new items. At first,
I did not understand that it was my messages, but then I went in and started
delaying them. This did not, however, change the number of new items I was told
I had. I tried dismissing the app and relaunching it with no change in the
number. I tried looking at the recent updates of friends. Still no change.

I have toggled voiceover off and back on. I have, as I said, deleted all
messages in my message cue.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might get it to stop claiming I
have new items when I don't? Is this voiceover, app problem, or user error? I
will gladly admit that I don't know everything, but I'm also fairly confident
that I know as much as most.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Amber H
