There are lots of ways to listen to podcasts. The free apple option is podcaster or similar spelling. It's one of the free apps apple push with iBooks find my iPhone find my friends etc. I don't use it but here it's become very good lately.
The app I and many others use is downcast. It isn't free but is very good, has tuns of features and is 100% VoiceOver friendly. Danny.
