Try sorting by none with option cmd 0 on the number row then switching to list 
view and then hitting vo shift back slash. That should, key word should, work. 
I tend to work on list view as I just like it. lol! I got trained in list view 
and what ever cmd 1 on the number row was, I like list mode better personally.
