Hi Lovette and Others,

One addition to Sarah's suggestion about using the Mac OS X text substitution
feature to type a common phrase in Pages. Although Mac OS X does let you
configure system wide text substitutions by adding these definitions under
System Preferences, under Language & Text, in the "Text" tab by checking the
box for "Use symbol and text substitution" and then enter a character or string
in the table, followed by the text you want to be substituted when you type
this, those definitions don't automatically work in all applications.

You can have your text substitutions take effect in Pages, but only after you
bring up the Preferences window in Pages with Command+comma, navigate to "Auto
Correction" in the Preferences window title bar and select it, then check the
"symbol and text substitution check box" on the Auto Correction pane to
activate these text substitutions for Pages. Close the Preferences window with
Command+W when you're done.

Third-party applications such as TextExpander allow you to define macros that
work system-wide, and build in more sophisticated definitions. For example,
there are pre-defined snippets of text that substitute today's date in the
format you want to use, or that can insert pairs of HTML or CSS code around
your present word, etc. There's a podcast demo on TextExpander for the Mac at
AppleVis:

Automatically Correct Misspelled Words, and More:
