Actually what i  do is just set up server side filters so gmail takes care of 
moving stuff in to labels/folders then I just ignore the conversations i don't 
want to read. I do a mass delete at the end of each month to archive everything 
in to my all mail folder. also some of these messages are longer then 5 lines. 
lol! so I just hit enter and read and use left and right arrows. Both methods 
do work though but it makes replying easier. lol!
