Hi All,

This question is mainly for Anne. When using your iPhone without a paired
keyboard, what's your preferred method of typing accented characters when you
switch to French? Do you use the accented azerty keyboard that became an
option under iOS 6? Or do you rely on the fact that you can simply type most
common words unaccented and have the auto-correction feature give the correct
spelling when the language is set to French? This question was prompted by
Brenda's question of the language rotor, since I also have Russian and French
among the languages in my language rotor. However, there was a recent question
elsewhere by a Canadian user who switches between inputting English and French
on her iPhone keyboard, and wanted to speed up entry of accented characters
when she didn't have access to an external keyboard. (The preference was to
use the touch typing rather than standard typing setting.)

Cheers,

Esther
