Well, I'm still unclear - I did download the zipped file for Lion disk maker
2, from Gordon Smith's blog, and not knowing how OSX handles zipped files, just
opened it in the usual way, and copied the Lion disk maker file in to the
applications folder. Then I just opened the app from there, and that is when I
got the message about having no installer on this machine. Hopefully that bit
of the process is correct, and I just now need to go to the app store and get
the installer for ML. I'd be disappointed if I had to pay for it, I would hope
to be able to back up or be able to restore an OS from within the system
itself. Perhaps unlike Windows, OSX hardly ever needs reinstalling. Wonder what
peoples experience of that is? -

As the Mac Access Dot Net administrators, we do our very best to ensure that
the Mac-Access E-Mal list remains malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and
worm-free. However, this should in no way replace your own security strategy.
We assume neither liability nor responsibility should something unpredictable
happen.
