OS X Mountain Lion: What is the Library folder?
The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your
personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to
open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then
choose Go > Library.

Attaching folder action scripts not available in 10.8
Once you run automator, you choose folder action as your document type. If you
have your own AppleScript, Perl, Python, Ruby, or shell script, you would
choose Library > Utilities and double-click your choice of “Run AppleScript,”
or “Run Shell Script,” to place either in the workflow window. Save your
workflow with a meaningful name.
