Have you tried navigating the new contact window using the VoiceOver
navigation commands? Tab and shift-tab may not work in all cases on the mac.

If I go to contacts, and click on add new card, and enter the data manually in
to the fields, then I can create a new contact ok. However, I have some
contacts that have been sent to me in an email, when I move the VO cursor to
the address link, and then open the context menu, and click on add to contacts
or whatever it is called, I can tab through and see first name, second name,
phone number and email address have all been entered. There isn't an ok/finish
button, so I just close the window, but when I then look in my contacts, the
new one isn't there. What am I doing wrong? -
