I am having it read a cookbook I put on in .doc format. Heather does it bad. 
I've got it at 220 words per minute. The speech can be choppy at times, too. 
That's all I understand.

I have not noticed this behavior yet.

Are you able to link the problem to any specific item such as: a
particular synthesizer, speech rate or text type?
