@btinternet.com I BELIEVE THAT ALL MACS STILL COME WITH VOICEOVER STARTING UP BY DEFAULT. YOU WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO RUN THE GETTING STARTED WIZARD. IF YOUR MAC HAS THIS TURNED OFF THEN THE SHORT ANSWER IS USE COMMAND F5 TO TURN VOICEOVER ON. IF THIS DOES NOT WORK YOU CAN THEN TRY FN COMMAND F5 IF YOUR FUNCTION KEYS ARE SET TO HARDWARE RATHER THAN software . YOUR Voiceover keys are CONTROL AND OPTION AND YOU COULD START WITH hitting vo H to bring up Voiceover and help and select the Quick start tutorial.
