Hello All,

Thanks for all of the responses. I have completed the changes and have
tested the BrailleNote apex out with the MBA. Now, the trick is to learn
some of the commands that are unique to the MBA. I have gone to Humanware's
support page and read the command list for the Macs. There was one that
didn't make sense and that was to pan to the right, which used the same
command for panning to the left. I need to dedicate more time in using the
Apex with the computer, which may not be until the weekend.

Thanks again for the assistance.

Eileen

Hi all!
Just a quickie!
After pressing VO+f8 each item in the table has a Command key+number so
Braille would be Command+9 and will take you straight there! Command+8 for
commanders and so on!

and look under the Layout tab. There you will see q checkboxes; Use
Contracted Braille, and Use 8-Dot Braille. Modify their status to suit your
needs. You might also want to turn off the status cells. Gordon has the Apex
and these cells just wasted space for him.

Braille Note with the MacBook Air. However I noticed the braille display
using 8 cell braille with the computer. Is there a setting on the Air in
system preferences that will only display a 6 dot cell configuration? I am
not use to 8 dot braille and I am having problems reading the braille. I
need to fix this first before learning all of the braille commands that are
applicable to the MacBook Air.
