Hi! This I have to admit to being a damn good question on behalf of a friend who wants to send some ring tones he's made to his wife's iPhone and iPad.
Both devices are "Stand Alone" devices meaning that they're not associated with any computers of any kind so the iPhone and iPad are used as computers if you like.
