When I first got my iMac Voiceover did load startlingly quickly and was
instantly available after awakening from sleep.
Nowadays it takes a while not just to load but to come back on after sleep,
even though apparently other aspects of the Mac have chuntered into life.
I assume this is because inevitably my system is more complicated as the
number of apps has grown but if anybody has tips to restore the lightning
start-up of Vo that I used to enjoy it would be good to hear.

Sounds perfectly normal to me, all depends on what else is bing loaded upon
start-up.
