I think you can redownload your past iTunes music purchases. Take a read
through the Apple Knowledge Base article on this topic.
• Downloading past purchases from the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519

To download previous purchases onto your iOS device, launch the iTunes Store
App, and navigate to "Purchased" tab on the bottom of the screen. On the
iPhone, you'll have to first double tap the "More" tab that is the last element
at the bottom right corner of the screen to get to this option, but on an iPad
it's one of the tabs. You need to select between "music", "movies", or "tv
shows" on an iPhone. (By default, the music tab will be selected on an iPad).
There are tabs near the top of the screen that let you select between "all" or
"not on this iPhone (or iPad)". Then you can select individual songs to
download from the alphabetical lists, or the list of most recent purchases to
download. If you choose "all songs", there will also be a "download all"
button.

There's a similar procedure for iTunes on your Mac or PC, but you have to be
signed into your store account with your Apple ID, and the instructions are
different for iTunes 11 and iTunes 10.7 and earlier. Since I'm still running
the latest version of iTunes 10.7 which, by the way, has none of these
problems, and still gives me access to the simpler iTunes power search options
to browse store content, I can't give you step by step instructions. This is
described in the knowledge base document, however. You'll have to bring up the
preferences pane (with Command-comma), and after selecting the "store" in the
title bar of the preferences, you need to make sure that the box for "Show
iTunes in the Cloud" purchases is checked.

I'm fairly certain you can download all your purchased music tracks again into
iTunes on another computer that is authorized with the same Apple ID. Whether
you can download TV shows and movie purchases is set by the copyright laws of
your country's store. this didn't used to be an option in the U.S., I think,
but all of this works for me. However, I think that for old audiobook
purchases, you'd have to contact Apple, since this is not automatic under
current copyright restrictions by the publishers.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
