I always enteracted with numbers, by doing v o down arrow twice. After that, all I had to do was use the arrow keys or tab, to go from one cell the next.
I understood that it was necessary to vo down arrow twice to move around the spread sheet. Numbers is also moving very slowly in Mavericks, as compared to Mountain Lion. I have both Os on my I Mac. For Marknumbers and mail ml is doing a better job. VO J works in ML mail.
