Yes, I can confirm this behavior is happening on my 2011 MBA under ML. In fact, I can replicate it with the latest versions of other Webkit-based browsers Chrome & Webkit Nightly, so perhaps it is a flaw in the current webkit code. It wouldn’t be the first time this particular bug has slipped into webkit. As I reported previously on this list, I am experiencing similar behavior under Mavericks.
I’m not sure how to back-level Safari, but perhaps you might have some luck installing one of the archived webkit versions from August or Sept.
