Hello William, All I can think of is that you should repair permissions and if that doesn’t help, try resetting the PRAM.
This weekend, I had a horrible issue with Pages where Cmd-z caused the VO command “Save last spoken phrase to desktop as audio file” to be executed. Resetting the PRAM fixed this issue.
