the ios  app  has  a  problem apparently ios 7  has  removed the  clip birds 
that  text expander used  as  there  were  other  companies miss using the 
ability  to make clip birds so apple have  removed them.  Smile who make text 
expander  had  to   try  to make  a  work  around it  they first  tried  using 
reminders how ever  apple have informed then  that  this is  a  miss use of 
reminders,  so  smile  are trying  to  come up  with away round this  problem.  
the idea that smile  have stated they are aiming  to do  to  get  round  the 
fact that  you  carnet use the text expander click boards  is  to import the 
snip its into each app that uses text expander.
this is  how I understand it  to  be according to the article on  the smile  
software web sit regarding  this matter.
