Hi there, I think the latest version is significantly better than the old one. The UI (I presume you’re talking Mac?) is far simpler and cleaner. In my view, the usability doesn’t quite match Jaws and Excel on Windows, but it’s certainly a damn sight better than the iWork 09 version. Voiceover is much less sluggish, though there are still latency issues. For example, if you hold the down-arrow key to fly through multiple rows, and then stop, VO is likely to repeat the cell contents on which you land ad nauseum.
Things like sorting data is, in my view easier. Put it this way, I’ve actually managed the grading of student assignments using numbers this year; something I certainly wouldn’t have dreamed of until now.
