Hello,,
I recall recently reading in this forum that it is a good idea to reset NVRAM
from time to time by pressing Option + Command + P + R during Mac OS startup.

What does this actually do? Is it at all a risky thing to do? I have upgraded
my 2009 iMac through each level of Mac OS from Leopard to Maverick and have
never reset NVRAM. My iMac behaves pretty well most of the time but
occasionally VoiceOver refuses to start after Mac OS has been in sleep mode for
a while. Would reset NVRAM help with this?

Many thanks.
