Hey guys, those of you interested in Hebrew, I'm pretty sure there's a few, I
learned something today.
There's an open source speech to text engine that is configured to read Israeli
Hebrew. It's called Qaryan Hebrew TTS. Now, here's what I know. It's free to
download and like I said, open source. I do not know yet if it works with
voiceover, but I imagine it probably could with some initial work and testing.
Here's the other thing, it's initially configured to run off of linux for the
mac, or windows. I think it can be worked for OS 10 also, but can't tell yet.
Now, would any of you who want to ultimately have a Hebrew screen reading voice
that works with voiceover wanna work with me to try and see if we could ever
make this Qaryan Hebrew TTS thing work? I'd bet that if we got our heads
together, we could work it out alright and then we'd have ourselves a Hebrew
voice for voiceover.
Anybody interested?
