Delete the numbers app from the doc.

Subject: 2 versions of numbers
In the applications folder there is a numbers app, which happens to be the
updated version.
In the IWorks folder, in the application folder, there is also a numbers
app.
This app is the one listed in the doc. It always tells me to update it.
Can I take the numbers app, that is all by itself and place it over the
numbers app listed in the IWorks folder?
OR
should i delete the numbers app from the doc?
