There's no such thing as a Mac Air, perhaps you're referring to the Macbook Air? That's the ultra thin Notebook from Apple.
A Mac Mini is a small square box that sits on a desk, keyboards and other devices connect to it either by its ports or wirelessly using Bluetooth, airPlay, Wi-Fi and so on.
