My son just got a set called:
Monster N Tune
They are wired, have a microphone, and the microphone mute button also
pauses and plays music when playing music.
They are around a hundred.
They are renown for their good base.
Amazon has them.

Subject: Headset On iPhone

Hi!

I'm trying out my new headset for the iPhone and thus far I'm more than
satisfied.

The headset itself is absolutely nothing special, it looks like a standard
pair of headphones, each ear has a slight cuff which sits on the ear, not
the most comfortable pair of headphones I admit but these won't be something
I'll be wearing all day, I've had them on for half an hour now and - whist I
notice I'm wairing them - I'm not feeing any pain or pressure around the
ears but I don't think this would last too long because of the thin padding
on the cuffes.

The headset is a conventional design you see on walkman style headsets, on
the right wire leading to the right ear is the microphone which seems to
work quite well, certainly well enough to enable the use of Siri it seems.

This headset is a wired type and is not wireless or Bluetooth but this isn't
a critical point for me as I already have a spendid Bluetooth headset as is,
I wanted something that was wired - don't really fancy the idea of running
off down the road with a $400.00 headset on these days.

The new wired headset from Enzatec ins indeed cheap at $10.00 but worth
every dollar of that price so the only question is now just how long the
headset will last?

I have no complaints about the volume of the iPhone through this headset
whatever, actually I've had to turn the volume down to about 25% of the
usual listening levels I had been using.

Clarity of phone calls is crisp and can be loud! so you've been warned but
use this loudness to your advantage particularly when it comes to all the
VOIP networks in use these days where you may need that extra volume.

As I said earlier, I'm not sure just how long this headset will last so of
anyone has any other suggestions for wired headsets that fit on the ears
then please tell us about them.

Happy New Year
