What's 1 platform got to do with 1 Password, you can use it just as
easily on one platform as you can on multi platforms, so flexible you
know <smile>..
Actually I'm just using it now to enter a whole heap of software licence
information for various pieces of software I own, a great way to store
this stuff.

Yeah since I'm only on 1 platform for storing my passwords, I use my incripted
disk which is at I think gov't level inscription. It works and works well. that
combined wight he password generated someone extracted from keychane and so far
I have had a good solution for the last 2 years.
1 password though sounds like a tool I used to use called robo form. Maybe it's
made by the same company?

1Password is much, much more than simply a password generator though. It is a
total solution for securely storing and backup of sensitive data which you
don’t want the world and his wife to see. If anybody who uses this app
cross-platform does so for more than a few sessions and still doubts its
monitory or other worth, I will be staggered, astonished, amazed, gob-smacked …
you get the message? :)

Yeah it does. it's in the key chane and always has been according to what I
read. but some guy extracted the thing. I have the app in my doc and it's way
cool.
Tc and be blessed.

Sounds much easier just to generate passwords using 1 Password <smile>.
Doesn't OSX now have some sort of Password Generator?

I actually have a password generated someone extracted from the key chane,
don't ask me how but you can create a password 30 characters long that looks
like a darned serial key with brackets and stuff. it looks a mess but all of my
sites I use this on take it.
Tc and happy sunday.

The Password generator and auto login/fill features have saved me literally
hours of time.
So you go to a web site to join up? The first thing you're asked to enter is
name and Password, so much easier to have 1 Password's generator make a nice
strong password for you and the way the password is constructed by the
generator can be changed easily to specifically fit your password requirements,
you can change the length, the characters used in the password etc.

Actually for me I have an incripted disk that's I think 256 bit so no one is
getting in to their. I keep all of my pass words stored in there and it just
plain rocks, the disk that is.
Take care.

If you think you won't use it then don't buy it, simple as that.
I've been usine 1 Password for quite some time now and I remember the initial
discussions about this utility on list.
Firstly, I'd seen the 1 Password utility briefly mentioned on a promotions
sight at the time and couldn't find it anywhere, at the time I had experience
with a similar utility for Windows and longed for such a utility for the Mac
hence my wish to get 1 Password.
One of the list members found it and others asked why anyone would need 1
Password.
fact is that 1 Password just doesn't manage Passwords securely, the software
has evolved into a complete and secure information manager, in other words if
you wish to keep something perfectly secure whilst allowing ease of access to
that information from literally any device or anywhere on the Planet then 1
Password is certainly worth considering.
I know people who would never have bought the software but since they've played
with the software they've become addicted to 1 Passwords many features both for
novice and advanced users alike, the streamlined Interface and the excellent
support offered for the application.
I suggest you read the extensive 1 Password blog to find out more about the App
and to get tips on best usage for 1 Password on your particular platform of
choosing.
As for being secure enough? One can never be secure enough <smile>.

Hi all,
I’ve been given a couple of AppStore vouchers so I’m looking at the apps
reduced in price. I’ve been toying with 1Password for a while but I’m
sceptical whether I actually need it. I think I’m reasonably secure online,
however this application (and app) does look rather good. anyone any thoughts?
Cheers,
Dónal
