I don't think I've been using Sendspace since 2011. As for accessibility? Well that's what the Voiceover support's there for isn't it, the make the App more accessible.
You're right about double-clicking the mouse or the Trackpad to open folders but - even supposing you didn't have a mouse or a Trackpad at your disposal - you can use Command-VO-F5 to move the mouse to the folder you wish to open and then click VO-Shift-Space twice quickly to open the folder, I don't call that inaccessible as its quite the opposite, Voiceover gives you the tools for access.
