What exactly do you need help with. I could write a book on the subject. lol!
If it is to schedule appointments do the following. 1. hit cmd n from with in the calendar. 2. type the event. 3. hit enter and then click the date and time link. 4. adjust that and hit apply. The event should if you don't need to do anything else be added to your calendar on the date specified. There are some bugs which I can name if you want but this should get you going in the right direction.
