And I believe you can send someone an email with a link they can click to add the ics file to the calendar of their choice. I've also had to do that when I worked for project star fish.
It's a very nice way actually to sen someone an event they might be attending, a conference call invite with notes in it for telephone number, etc etc. Hope that helps.
