Ah, This is what I was suspecting, and why I was asking if the Griffin had preamp capabilities to supply power to the mic. But as it doesn't, then I need a different solution. I asked in an earlier post if an external sound card could power the mic, but I got no feedback on that, so don't know so far if it's an option -
