Hi Will,

You can only quit an event by choosing to start a new one, from the options 
screen there is a new event button. Alternatively, you can bust out. QUitting 
and restarting the app is not recommended, and shouldn’t be needed in any case.
If you set announcements to none, VoiceOver will do all reading, which is the 
best way to use the app for people who need VO. Particularly with the newest 
version there are optimizations to make VO read everything properly, and avoid 
interrupting itself.
