I very much doubt whether an Apple Genius will be able to match the 
quality

of advice offered by experienced people like Esther on this list.

You could  however ask them to refer it  to the Apple Accessibility 
Team.


I am a bit confused by the Open University  comment.

The only way it can make sense if they are talking about using the 
Google
Chrome browser with its inbuilt Chrome Vox  screenreader which can be 
used
instead of Voiceover on the Mac. I suppose this is an option to 
consider.

This is a little bit of a learning curve.

I was in any case going to suggest you try Google Chrome with Voiceover 
on

first to see if that replicates the problem.

If the problem persists with Voiceover on Chrome you could also Then 
install
the Chrome Vox speech extension and turn voiceover  off to see if that 
makes
the site accessible. I think Sarah is the source of advice on using 
chrome
and Chrome Vox on this list. Chrome Vox only works within Google Chrome 
and

is not a general screen reader.

Apart from that in terms of general screen readers the Open University 
are

completely incorrect.
There are no current alternative Screenreaders to Voiceover on Mac OS.


There are older ovsolete predecessors and alternative Speech engines 
for
Terminal but to all practical purposes Voiceover is the only general 
screen

reading option for the Mac.

Can you do a 2 stage process.

Locate accept button.
Then route mouse to accept.
Voiceover off.
Click Track pad
Turn on Voiceover
Locate play
Route mouse to the play button.
Turn voiceover off again.
Click Trackpad.

Personally I would do all this in a Fusion  window for an easy life.
