Just search for them at the top of the contacts table, instead of going to
the table index, it will go a lot faster.

Subject: iOS Question - Accessing A Telephone Contact

Hi All, when I want to contact someone on my iPhone, I use the Table Index
at least to move to the given alphabetic letter of their name. However,
once there of about 17 people whose name begins with the letter L I then
have to go through each until I locate the one I want which might be the
17th on a list of 20!!! On my old Nokia phone using Talks I could get to a
contact even faster than this. Is there any faster method I might use?
