when you first turn it on assuming it is out of the box new, you will get a message stating that you can run a voiceover tutorial. this will guide you through the basic steps required to set up your mac. the control and option keys are known as the voiceover keys, or VO for short. if you already have an IPhone might i suggest the mastering the macintosh book available from the ibooks store this helps you use the trackpad to navigate the OS by keyboard, and by touch
