Hello,
I have an iPhone 5S running IOS 8.0.2 which I sync to iTunes on my iMac. My
wife will shortly inherit an iPhone 4 which has been reset to factory settings
and which I recall will run IOS 7 but not IOS 8. She will want to manage this
from her Windows PC and so will install iTunes on that PC.

Presumably when my wife first connects the iPhone 4 to iTunes she will have to
sign onto the iTunes store using my Apple ID and password and to tell iTunes
that the iPhone 4 is a new phone. If she accesses the iTunes App store from the
iPhone 4 she will likewise have to sign on using my Apple ID and password.

Can my wife then install for free some of the Apps I have purchased from the
iTunes store? If so what does she have to do to achieve that?

I have enabled family sharing on my iPhone 5S but am not clear if all sharing
devices have to be IOS 8.

Many thanks for your advice.
