Hello, I recently purchased an iPhone 5S and a RORRO flip top leather case to protect the iPhone while it is in my pocket. This case has a magnetic clasp (which most of them do these days) and alas this clasp stops the iPhone compass from working. If I take the iPhone out of the case then the compass works fine. However if I put the iPhone in the case and then re-calibrate the compass the iPhone says “East” or sometimes “South East” for all directions. For this case the magnetic clasp is at the top of the phone and the flip top hinges at the bottom of the phone. I rely on the compass for help with navigation while out walking by myself.
Have others encountered this problem? If so can anyone recommend a protective iPhone case which does not have this problem? Many thanks.
