mark, if you read his message, he's tried using the compass, but the
magnetic clasp on his case renders it useless, saying he's heading east, no
matter which direction he's walking!

Have you tried using the Compass that comes with the I 5S? It actually is
quite accessible, and gives you the direction you're facing in terms of
degrees as well as north south east west etc.
Give it a try

Hello,
I have an iPhone 5S which sits in a very nice protective case but alas the
magnetic clasp on the case stops the built in compass from working. Where
ever I face it always says “East”, even after recalibration. the compass
works fine when the phone is out of the case.
I am very reluctant to go for walks with the phone outside its protective
case, but I do find the compass very handy when lost.
I therefore wonder if there is an App which uses GPS to determine
direction. When lost I am happy to walk a short distance in some direction
and would like the App to tell me which direction I had walked in. Does
anyone know of such a VoiceOver accessible App?
Alternatively does anyone know of a good iPhone 5S protective case which
does not have a magnetic clasp?
Many thanks for any help.
