Hi All and Sarah File Vault was enabled and this was causing my login
problem, now I have it turned off and my VO and login is all well again!

You actually missed the dialogue. during set up, how ever go to system
prefs, then privacy and security. There you will find file vault. turn it
off and you should be good to go.
