Hi All, hearing that this was available I have tried and tried
unsuccessfully to login to it. I have used my G mail account and another
e-mail account and all to no avail. Not sure how much good it is anyway.

Nick,
I just downloaded and spendt an hour or so going through the free version of
scrivener and its getting started tutorial.
Yep! it does look like a great app for serious, complex writing projects.
And, it looks to be highly accessible with VO - one of those really VO
friendly apps that are all too infrequent.
Unfortunately, I just don’t need that kind of power for my little writing
projects and can’t justify the cost. BTW: how well does it handle tables? I’ll
bet it’s great there too.
Pages does kind of fall short in a lot of areas - at least for me it does.
That’s why I keep windows w/office 2010 in good order. there are very few
Mac apps that I’ve come across that can compete with Word for word
processing.

Actually what I did was I counted lines. I had 50 lines to select so I
turned off voice over, selected 50 lines, hit cmd c, turned on voice over
and moved the suction successfully.
Actually I hit cmd X but you get the idea.

Hi Sarah,
Unfortunately I don’t think Pages is a good tool for what you want to do.
I know of no way to do that in Pages apart from copying a paragraph or
two at a time.
That’s why for that kind of writing I prefer to use Scrivener. It’s
designed for just that type of thing. It’s great for writing theses or
any long writing project. It’s means of re-ordering and restructuring
documents works really well with VoiceOver.
Scrivener have a free trial which you might use to accomplish what you
want. Even if it’s a bit too late for Scrivener this time, however, you
should definitely check it out for your next writing project.

Hello to all. I finally got the section figured out. I want to now take a
section and paste it. someware else. I cannot find a way to do this
neatly as the selection bug still exists. I have confirmed this is a
voice over bug as I selected about 2-3 pages with voice over off. Ihave
since written to apple about this wiht no results.
I need to move 2 pages to near the top of my thesis. so it flows better
before I continue it. What is the easiest way to do this with out pulling
out my hair.
I want this to look good, and it's nearly there content wise. lol!
Take care.
